UX/UI design, Visual consistency, Developer collaboration, PM
Desk-Net is a B2B SaaS editorial calendar used by major newsrooms and communication teams such as Spiegel, ETH Zürich, and Munich Airport.
I worked on the migration of its Topics page during the shift from GWT to Angular, where visual changes were limited but UX improvements were critical.
My focus was to redesign filters, navigation, and interaction behaviours to make content planning more intuitive.
I contributed to defining hypotheses, creating prototypes, and handing over specifications that improved clarity, efficiency, and long-term retention.
The Topics page was cluttered and visually outdated(Image 1), with filters spread across multiple areas and inconsistent behaviours.
Users had difficulty quickly finding stories, calendars, and data they needed to manage large editorial workflows.
At the same time, because the product was mid-migration, visual redesign opportunities were limited.
The challenge was to enhance the functionality, create a more intuitive flow, and bring consistency across the interface—while respecting technical constraints and the existing design system.
The improvements reduced cognitive load and made navigation more efficient.
They were expected to increase retention, improve engagement, and reduce time spent searching for information.
Early developer feedback was highly positive, as the new structure provided clarity and scalability for the Angular migration.
Beyond product UI, I supported the redesign of the corporate website by providing design mockups, layout suggestions, and visuals.
I also helped onboard freelance designers and supported recruitment efforts by creating job description visuals and templates. These efforts helped unify brand experience across touchpoints.
